Spot Vision Screener is Ideal for Optometrists and Screening Programs

A handheld vision screener is a portable device used to assess visual acuity and screen for common vision problems, such as refractive errors (e.g., myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism) and amblyopia (lazy eye). These devices are commonly used by healthcare professionals, including pediatricians, ophthalmologists, optometrists, and school nurses, to quickly and efficiently evaluate the vision of individuals of all ages, from infants to adults.

Hand held spot vision screener is ideal for measurement of less collaborative patients such as adults and infants, as alternative or complement to your refractometer.

Add and manage patients directly on the touch screen, point at the patient at 1 meter distance and invite him to follow the light and sound fixation to directly measure diopter, astigmatism, astigmatism axis, pupil diameter and pupil distance. The results appears on the display and can exported to a pc or can directly be printed via wireless.

Easy quick assessment of typical refraction errors such hyperiopia, myopia, astigmatism, strabismus, amblyopia, and others.

Vision Screener Key Features

▼ Handheld vision screeners are compact, lightweight, and battery-powered, making them easy to transport and use in various clinical settings, including primary care offices, schools, community health centers, and outreach programs.

▼ Spot vision screeners are designed for ease of use by healthcare professionals with varying levels of experience.

▼ Portable handheld vision screeners are versatile diagnostic tools that can assess visual acuity at various distances, including near (e.g., reading distance) and distance (e.g., 20 feet or 6 meters). Some screeners also include additional tests to evaluate color vision, depth perception, and binocular vision.

▼ Portable spot vision screeners allow for rapid screening of visual acuity, enabling healthcare providers to assess the vision of multiple individuals quickly and efficiently.

▼ By facilitating early detection of vision problems, handheld vision screeners help identify individuals who may benefit from further evaluation and intervention by an eye care specialist.

The accuracy of a vision screener can vary depending on several factors, including the design of the device, the testing protocol used, the experience and training of the operator, and the characteristics of the individuals being screened. Welcome to browse our handheld vision screeners and table vision screeners, choose according to your usage.

Note: While vision screeners can provide valuable information about an individual's visual acuity and potential vision problems, they are not diagnostic tools and should be considered as screening tools only. Any abnormal results obtained from vision screening should be followed up with a comprehensive eye examination by an eye care professional to confirm the diagnosis and determine appropriate management.
